Pamela Kennedy

As Principal of PKennedy and Associates since 1986, Dr. Kennedy’s passion and primary contributions are in leadership – in the profoundly personal connections required to successfully lead individuals, teams and organizations. Pamela builds strong, enduring relationships with her clients, who benefit from her twenty-five-plus years of executive and consulting experience. Pamela’s earlier background includes co-founding a Houston-based business consulting firm, later becoming Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors, and serving as Senior Consultant with the American Productivity and Quality Center, continuing over time to be a consulting resource for the Center.

Pamela’s central focus is coaching executives and teams in:

leadership and personal development,

leading and managing powerful teams,

developing individual and team capabilities,

facilitating organizational transformation. With an ability to remain impartial yet fiercely focused on results, her style is both direct and supportive -- she has been called an "iron fist in a velvet glove."

In addition to her consulting, Pamela is Director of Team Learning and Senior Lecturer in Organizational Behavior at the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management, Rice University. Pamela coaches MBA and EMBA teams to maximize their effectiveness and performance, and has developed a group of EMBA alumni volunteers who facilitate and mentor the EMBA teams.

Dr. Kennedy has worked with a diverse and extensive list of business, government, union and non-profit organizations, including boards, CEO’s, management, union leaders and staff at all levels in the organization. She has consulted in oil, banking, education, healthcare, architecture and design, airline, chemical, paper, steel, food processing, and furniture.
