Connie Henson

Dr. Henson is the Director of Learning Quest Pty. Limited, an applied business psychology firm. Prior to founding Learning Quest in 2001, she worked for a global consulting firm and as an academic. She consults to multinational organizations and NGO’s in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Pacific Islands and the US.

Creating and implementing individual and organisational development programs, Connie consults to a wide variety of businesses and industries including high tech, manufacturing, international development, retail, public sector, hospitality, food and beverage, media and banking/financial services. Her work includes executive developmental assessment & coaching, leadership team development, mentoring/coaching programs, 360 feedback and executive leadership training.

In addition to her consulting activities, Connie teaches MBA students at the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) in Sydney, and the Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM) in Sydney, and Hong Kong. Dr. Henson also consults on a pro bono basis to non-profit organizations. Volunteer projects have included; leadership development and executive coaching for leaders within non-profit organisations and marginalised communities, and providing career development counseling for young indigenous people and teaching courses in humanities to homeless adults.

Dr. Henson received her Ph.D. and MA in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Texas. She received her MS degree is in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and her BA in Psychology from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington. She recently completed a Master of International Public Health from the University of Sydney. She is a current member of the American Psychological Association and the Australian Psychological Society and is a registered psychologist with NSW and the state of Texas.

Connie is a lifelong learner, whose eagerness for learning and challenge is underpinned by a strong belief in human rights and a keen desire to contribute to the reduction of suffering and an increase in well-being. She has recently returned from volunteering as a psychologist and capacity development consultant in Fiji, where she facilitated individual and organisational development for an NGO that provides mental health services.
