Margo Covington

Margo Covington, a facilitator and coach of systems change, assists businesses and groups of many sizes identify and implement positive actions for their organizations that not only direct them toward increased efficiencies, increased profits, and reduced risk, but also, at the same time, move them towards restoring the environment. Clients include The NM Environment Department in cooperation with the NM Small Business Development Centers Network (NMSBDC) to train the Green Zia Tools to small businesses in New Mexico; the New Mexico Small Business Development Centers Network to promote and implement NxLeveL Business Plan classes in the state; and Rebuild New Mexico, a joint project of the U.S. Department of Energy's Rebuild America program and the NM Energy Department. ZERI Certification 2002, and her participation in the SCI/ZERI NM efforts, adds dimension to her assistance to organizations toward smarter, better planning and change. Covington's organizational affiliations include Senior Examiner for the NM Governor's Green Zia Awards (a quality award with a pollution prevention angle – based on the nationally-recognized Malcolm Baldrige Quality criteria), Green Zia Commitment Level Recognition Award 2001, the Chairman of the Sustainable Santa Fe Commission, Chair of the NMSBDC Quality Council, and NM Environment Department's Environmental Excellence Advisory Council among others.
