Philip Potdevin

Philip Potdevin specializes in executive coaching, personal leadership development, developing professional coaches and authoring papers, documents and books in coaching. He is a published writer and opinion columnist in a local leading newspaper. He consults with clients from a wide array of global and local corporations on meeting leadership and management challenges. He serves as Executive Director to a Coaching School, Ser Coach which aligns with the International Coach Federation’s (ICF) core values. He coaches executives on maximizing their human potential to new levels of achievement. As an integral, holistic coach his approach towards executive coaching is based on developing self-awareness in his clients at a triple level: mind, body and spirit.

Being a coach is a personal life style he has adopted since he became aware of the wonderful gift of serving others by walking on their side for part of their own personal and professional journeys towards personal and professional achievement. Throughout his career he has experienced receiving teachings from many marvelous masters and now he has turned his journey towards a more ample, broad scope of service to his clients, partners, family, community and country. He currently is the leader of a local Coaching Network, Cima Coaching that specializes in maximizing human potential of executive leaders.

Philip is an active leader in the coaching community in his country. Founder of the Andean Region and Central America ICF Chapter in 2005, he served as the first Chapter President up to 2006. He currently holds a seat in the ICF Ethics and Standards Committee. He is a contributor to coaching magazines, journals and web portals, his most recent articles include: The ABC of Team Coaching, Stop! Is your organization ready for a coaching intervention? and Using the Inner Child framework in Coaching. He is currently co-authoring the book Ser Coach with his partner and soul-mate Patricia Afanador, MCC which will be in print in early 2008. Along with Ms Afanador, they founded and lead one of the best-known coaching schools in their country.

Mr. Potdevin has 20 years of experience with multinational firms in several positions within the human resource area where he experienced the corporate ladder from HR analyst to HR Vice-President. Citibank, Dow Chemical, Occidental Petroleum and Banco de Occidente were the organizations he served prior to creating his own private consultancy firm. For the past five years he has been coaching top executives from GlaxoSmithKline, CerrejonCoal, Chevron, Codensa (Emgesa group), Amcor Pet, Saint-Gobain, TetraPak, Marsh, Schlumberger, Superintendencia Financiera, Intraplas, Valores Bavaria, Colpatria, Exito, Colsanitas.
