Brid Bourke
Brid Bourke has over fifteen years experience in the diagnosis of HRD issues, the development of organisational leaders, and the design and implementation of behavioural based solutions. As a Leader, Executive Coach and Business Owner, Bríd understands the challenges facing business leaders: from creating and executing profitable strategies to selecting, motivating and retaining top performers.
She worked as a Training and Development Executive in the education and community sectors and then as a HRD corporate consultant before founding her own consultancy in 1994. Since then BBA (Building Better Abilities) has grown to a 15 person consultancy engaged in profitably delivering HRD solutions (Selection, Coaching, and Training) to a corporate client base across Europe, in an increasingly competitive and sophisticated marketplace. Brid has worked on leadership development contracts with blue chip clients such as Dell, Motorola, APC MGE and Schering Plough. She has been invited to join the Executive Coach panel for both Dell and Intel.
Brid's training in the disciplines of science, adult education and, more recently psychology, coupled with her business practitioner and corporate consulting experience enables her to rapidly assimilate the world of her coachee and relate to the specifics of their development opportunities. She is trained in several psychometric tools and is a FORTÉ Master. This dedicated coach will take her coachee on a journey that will unleash their potential. The client will achieve three implicit objectives through this committed relationship:
- Significantly enhance self awareness: leverage strengths and manage ‘hot buttons’ effectively to engage others.
- Maximise adaptive capacity – recognised as THE most essential leadership capability and the difference between success and failure – respond to people and situations with impact.
- Achieve extraordinary results by applying positive conscious patterns of effectual behaviour.
Frequently she also works with the coachee’s team to facilitate high levels of team performance, closer alignment and effective adaptation to changing environments.
Bríd lives in Cork, Ireland with her husband and two boys; she enjoys photography, being close to the sea and entertaining friends and family.
